Octavia II wheel alignment Tracking Camber Caster Toe

Featured Replies

Treated the Octavia to a four wheel alignment. Steering wheel was off centre and annoying me so £46 later had it sorted.

Thought I'd post the results for general interest.

It was done on the infamous Hunter system. Car is an 08 Elegance 1.9 tdi.

Nice.

I wonder if your rear springs are a bit sagged?  The uniform & high negative camber on the rear points to that.

On an Elegance I would have aimed for closer to negative 0.9 on the rear.  Were you getting any sawtoothing on the rear?

No saw toothing at the moment. The off centre steering wheel was the clue. Something at some point obviously upset the rear end...of the car.

Hi

Sorry hope you don't mind me butting in on your thread but I've just had my 2012 Vrs hatch four wheel aligned on a hunter rig as I was suffering for excessive wear on the inside edges of my rear tyres near side was a lot worse than the offside.

Anyway after looking at the print out i noticed that they had set mine up to the octavia Mk III 2013 specs when my car is in fact a 2012 Mk II

I did ring the garage and the guy I spoke to said he didn't think it would make any difference to the set up but that he would check with The mechanic when he come back in on Monday morning.

But just wanted to get input from you guys before then so I don't get fobbed off if they have cocked up hopefully you should see a picture of my print out belowpost-100584-0-90673300-1437821133_thumb.jpg

Those settings are fine for a MK2 vRS

I'd be trying to crank the rear camber closer to -1 but that's personal preference because I do lots of straight line motoring.
