I have 2 different broadbands in 2 different locations. For some reason both machines (one at each location) have trouble reaching 2 domains:

day2day-uk.com & slowblackskoda

Thought it was a firewall issue, but I've unistalled that to check. Checked DNS and that's fine. Can't ping either site but can run a tracert to the sites by name.

I've had this before with a friends machine where it wouldn't display any microsoft sites, but I can't remember what I changed to correct that error.

Any suggestions??

Active-x issue or something similar? (ie flash plug-in)

your DNS might be absolutely fine, but IIRC (and i wasn't paying attention, so i could be having a rectal-cranial inversion moment) but when that happened at work the other year, everything looked fine, but one of the core routers DNS tables had gone rectum over mammary.....

ISP might need to just refresh theirs - because when Briskoda moved the other year, my connection was fine, but i couldn't access Briskoda for a 24 hours........AFTER the move was complete and runnuing again.

Probably not a great idea for me to hav drunk those 2pints of milk....think the hallucinations are kicking in early...

Just to add , the slowblacskoda site loads quite slow on my pc too, thats trying on IE6, and a 10 meg cable con.
