I don't think any insurance companies have the car on their databases yet.

 

However, there are so many factors involved in a quote there's not much merit in knowing what anyone else will be paying. There is a lot based on individual circumstances.

 

I suspect quotes will only become avaiable when the first orders start filtering through in September / October and the car can be selectable without a reg number on insurers websites.

 

It's something I need to look into aswell. Even if it's high I still don't think I can resist a 280 L&K

My other option was going to be an SL 55 AMG for a weekend fair weather toy so insurance is not going to be a problem.... Cheaper the better though !

Had a play with direct line earlier and the 280 was listed. Went through the full procedure and it crapped out at the end :-( I'll try again later...

Yeah, looks like I spoke too soon. I've just been on LV='s site and the 280 L&K Estate is listed.

 

Managed to get a quote for myself and SWMBO as a named driver. 10K a year, fully comp, £250 total excess (£200 compulsory + £50 voluntary) with legal expenses, European cover and protected NCB for £450. Actually turned out cheaper than I expected and LV= is not the cheapest but I wanted a quote with them because they seem to be highly rated and there's no way I'm using Admiral (who I'm currently with) for a decent car. It does the job at the moment for my ageing Astra!

Update to this. Currently paying £260 for my Scout with the wife as named. 280 Superb will be £286 :-)
