Featured Replies

Well yeah long story short i want to make one i remember thinking that looks cool but i can't seem to find it now? It was a bit of plastic pipe fuel line diameter with a cord threaded through it so he could grab the key to do the refuel without having to remove gloves?

its a shot in the dark i know....

I see youre planning to make up for (what i would think) is a small tank range on the KTM?

No lost time in fuel stops :D

I thought you were going to say he had a Skoda keyring :)

I didn't, but... I noticed a lot of racers with home made exhaust protectors last weekend made by passing a tiewrap through a length of fuel pipe wrapped round the exhaust. Seemed to work OK. I expect a keyring could be made the same way

Or an Aston Martin one? ;)

Maybe :D.

He didnt that Aston he bought though. Was really disapointed with it.

I think he liked his lap around the TT track in that v12 one though haha.

I think iicrc it was a piece of string  thread through the pipe through the key then back through the pipe tied in a knot at the other end, the keys size stops it being pulled through the piece of pipe but the knot also stops the sting pulling through. :D

So it just makes it less fiddley?

Wont a keyring do that? :D

nope keyrings flop around and scratch your bike :) and YOKE i always just have the key no keyring until now, so thats why I'm thinking bit of rubber pipe possibly fluorescent fuel hose with some soft string :) = better than keyring and stops damage :D

Ive just got a rubber keyring and a yoke protector.

No scratchy :D

could do would have to do it straight to the key because the ring would still flap around and on a flat yoke would tap against it, always liked them paracords tho seen one where it has 3 in 1 and it has like a flint for starting fires as well will try and find it :) the video they used to demo it though they actually used some sort of fuel to start it because the fire sprung into life like a car being blown up on a movie set haha :D

here we go :) knew i would find it

Me too. Always kept bike keys on a rubber keyring with nothing else on it. Zero possibility of scratching.

Going to pet shop tomorrow, see if I can get some thin rope from go outdoors next door (if they let me in with Vinnie the dog :D ) and give it a bash.

Order some proper para cord off eBay makes it even better then because you can unravel it and actually use it for stuff :)
