Any tv repairers on the forum?

Featured Replies

Hello

was wondering if anyone on the forums could give any advice regarding my panasonic TX-22LT2 lcd tv,basically i was watching it the other night when all of a sudden it lost the picture and left a white screen and thats all its displaying now,you can change channels and the audio is there but no picture whatsoever and its the same even when playing a dvd through it plus you don't even get any settings menus or teletext on screen so i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to whats wrong with it? and will it cost a fortune to repair? i've tried posting on a couple of av forums but no joy as yet,if nobody can help i'll just have to bite the bullet and take it in somewhere to see how much its going to cost

regards

Dan

How old is the TV, I assume you have done the usual brightness/contrast stuff. Might also be worth seeing if it has a "reset to default" option somewhere.

Hello

so i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to whats wrong with it?

It's sounds to me like the internal cable from the decoder board that takes the video input and/or TV signal and converts it to TTL or LVDS to drive the TFT panel has come adrift. Does the white 'bloom' across the screen when you turn the power on in a sort of pattern resembling smoke (or want of a better description)?

Had this on a couple of TFT monitor assemblies at work. Not difficult to repair in our case.

Most Euronics centres' date=' who are usually smaller TV/electrical dealers, offer repair services - search for your nearest one here: http://www.euronics.co.uk/ and ask them.
