Build Dates vs Delivery dates

Featured Replies

I have an SE-L on order with some standard optional extra upgrades, ordered beginning of July with an estimated 10 week delivery time. It's through a leasing company as it's a company vehicle and my current one goes back on 24th Sept - all seemed fine with this but I have now just got a build date of 7th September and they said they would hope to deliver about 4 weeks after this.  I'm amazed how late the build date is and concerned I'll have to have a hire car in between. So my question is, does this sort of turnaround sound about normal? and does anyone have experiences of Skoda being later than what they say? or even earlier?

Many thanks

Seems about right, build date is subject to change though as they only get confirmed the week before its due to be built. When I ordered my Vrs last year it was exactly 6 months from order to delivery

I ordered my VRS estate manual TDi 12th May. Build week 28, been told it's expected at the dealer this evening and I can pick it up Saturday morning. I was told around 10-12 weeks from order and Skoda are delivering bang on that timescale pretty much.

Ordered my Octavia SE-L with a few upgrades, ACC, Park assist and some other bits and bobs on the 6th of May and am expecting to pick it up sometime next week, been waiting what feels like a lifetime but not long left hopefully!

6 months?? Hoping not to top that - "only" been waiting since 29th of May, but have had the build week changed 3 times so far, and only once for the better
