Any thoughts on what a fairly decent condition black mark 1 hatch on a Y plate could be worth?

"113k almost. Brand New cambelt and water pump. Luk clutch kit, under 500 miles for all of that. New Brakes and discs. Brand New mot today. Pretty standard all round. Body work is okay, but I'm.sure you could work some black magic on that. just put 4 new tyres on it."

 

Would be interested to hear a trade VS private too.

If it's had the cambelt, clutch, brakes and tyres replaced recently though then that begs the question why the current owner isn't keeping it - should be cheap motoring for a while.

Y plate and 113k are not going to do any favours value wise.

I'd say probably anything from £1,000 to £1,200 but more than that would be a stretch imho.

The owner fancies a certain well known stage 2 vRS estate  

 

he was hoping for £1,500 private too so good to have some corroboration on that.
