Lots of travel and car has developed a problem

Featured Replies

Been away and doing lots of back Road driving on bumpy and pothole ridden roads. On the way back I noticed the car felt a little bouncy and just generally not itself. Getting into the car this morning I noticed that when cornering on right hand bends the car steps out mid bend. Very hard to describe but basically halfway around the bend it feels like the car suddenly jumps a few inches in the direction of lean. I thought my wheel was loose or something but no. Tyre pressures and treads are fine, can't see anything obvious. Where should I start looking?

I would check the suspension and roll bar bushes first.

Ok the anti roll bar bushes look quite dry, I'll change them I think thanks. The rear springs are all fine and shocks seem ok on a bounce test. I think i may be on original suspension though so guess it's due a complete overhaul really.

Get your geometry checked with a 4 wheel alignment.  Warn bushes aren't normally felt so quickly as they wear over time. Failed suspension components are heard as well as felt.
