Windows 10 Broke

Featured Replies

Well after an easy transition to Windows 10, and was really liking it. Windows did an update yesterday to do with pointing device/ mouse pad. Now Windows won't load, runs through a few diagnostic screens the comes up with blue screen with "bad system config info" message. Eventually another screen appears with options. Have tried restore point, and after a while comes back as successful but when restarting ends up in diagnosing screens again and back to blue screen. Also tried safe mode but same thing, when restarting. Have taken it to Computer repair man along the road, and he says he can't get it to boot, and suggests re installing 8.1. Any thoughts appreciated.

I wouldn't even touch windows 10 for at least a couple of months until they sort it, it happened with windows 7. Then again there's nothing wrong with windows 7 so I'll be sticking with that.

Funnily enough, most folks don't seem to get any problems. I think MS have learned loads about how to do this on multiple platforms. Non of my colleagues or friends have so far had any problems at all with Win10. A very smooth upgrade experience for all of them. I'm still waiting for mine so we'll see won't we. There's bound to be some that go wrong and you can't get away from that. Same with Win7 & 8. Most went fine, but a small number didn't. But you only hear of the bad ones.
