Currently running a 15 plate 1.6 Tdi Octavia registered end of march 15, currently has 12,300miles on it and today I get a message saying 'oil change required 2800miles' its not had any service yet so does it need to go in for one?

There's  a constant message on the infotainment system with a spanner and also comes on the multidot.

Yep, sounds as though you are close to your first service, how long will it take you to cover 2,800 miles?

Roughly 3 weeks to cover 2800 miles, Also had over the last couple of weeks a red warning triangle pop up as well with bonging noises saying coolant level low was none in it!!! anyway topped it up and its dropped again and had to top the oil up due tp none on the hatched area of the stick is this normal?

No, coolant loss is not normal, it would suggest there is a leak somewhere.

 

It isn't unusual for a new car to use oil, especially as it approaches the time for a service.

 

I'd be getting it booked in sooner rather than later.
