Auto lights, late coming on...........

Featured Replies

Mrs Goldfingers Fabia MKIII has auto lights.

Driving home from London last monday evening the auto lights didn't put dipped beam on until it was quite dark. I actuallty turned the lights on as I thought the lights needed to be on.

On my MKIII Vrs the auto lights can be set to different settings for the lights to come on but the Fabia doesn't have this option.

Can the settings be altered via a VCDS ?

Antyone know please

That's odd -- wonder if there's a different version of software on the earlier Fabia III ?

Mine has an "Early", "Medium", "Late", selection on the Car settings menu.

Mind you - mine is is set at "Late", and I think they still turn on early !  I imagine if they were set to "Early" they'd be on all day. Must try that.

My thing is with the Auto-Wipers -- even at max setting on switch - I often need to give a manual flick of the switch to start the things, esp in light rain. And they don't work at all until the car is moving. Bit of a pain, because otherwise are usually great.

Car is only 6 weeks old, no early/medium/late settings on this one

Fabia III SE 1.2 110 bhp with auto lights.

Mmmmmmmmm.  Mrs Goldfinger doesn't have auto wipers either.......

Well - both were extras here. The radio is the Swing. Mine's the Style, "sort of" equivalent to the SEL level. It's a 1.2 90.

  • 2 weeks later...

Do either of you have the auto dip rear view mirror? That's the high end package and perhaps that allows the infotainment setting change.

The basic version employs a light sensor where the climatronic solar sensor would be (maybe it uses the solar sensor?).....perhaps not quite as advanced as a consequence?

Auto Dim Rear view mirror is Standard on the SE-L
