I have a 2007 Octavia and after heavy or prolonged rain (not always,but often) the factory fitted radio suffers from terrible reception so much so that I usually have to switch it off . It also seems to affect the reversing graphics on the radio, i:e no graphics, no beeping. I have looked at the roof mounted aerial and the seal seems to be ok, so I am at a loss to know what causes it. In dry weather no problems, but I had terrible problems last winter and I am not looking forward to another wet winter. But on the plus side the rain cures my side windows terrible screeching problems, I have checked the rubbers, put silicone on them, but still the same, I have’nt took the door cards off yet and TBH I don’t really want to if I can help it. So if there is anyone with some answers that would be great.
