Anyone know how to get the autochanger out of an Elegance Hatch?

It's one of those front slot loading jobs in the boot on the left hand side.

There are 2 slots at the bottom of the facia. I've tried my kenwood HU removal tools in them to no avail.

It's driving me nuts!

Aside: One thing I have noticed is that these cars are built like tanks.

Why do you want to take it out?

They do come out with radio removal tools, but they do take a fair wiggle to get out. Last one I did ended up with the fascia popping off so I could get into the release fingers.

Cheers Lummox at least now if the facia comes off I won't think i've broken it. I think i've figured out the aux function of the stream HU but I need to get at the autochanger lead in the boot to test the theory.

can a mp3 player get attached to that, other than a ipod? i need to sort mine. although my stream doesnot have a Aux input on the menu but a colleagues has. his is 3 weeks older than mine.

It's the same model as that for the VW RCD-300

You loose your autochanger though with this kit. If you want to keep your changer then this should fit the bill:-

So just to clarify - I am collecting my Octy 2 L&K next week, standrad HU and changer fit, and I want to be able to plug in my Iriver MP3 player AND keep the Cd changer too, this bit of kit will let me do it?

Just contacted INcarexpress who say they have had probs with certian Skoda HU's. They say you pay your money. you take your cahnces. I think I may have to go down the DIY route to be sure.
