Parking sensors

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quicky (still awaiting my Octavia to be built)

Do the parking sensors come up on the infotainment screen with coloured distance markers or are they purely audible? It's just the brochure states audible parking sensors but my colleagues golf has them come up on the screen too. I went for the front and rear parking sensors as me and the mrs are used to smaller cars.

They are on screen as well

The rear ones come up as a graphic on the Columbus infotainment system. Don't have from ones so can't comment on those.

thanks for that!

On my Amundsen screen I have 4 or 5 bands of orange to show something has been detected but as I get closer and the beeps get closer together the last 2 or 3 bands show in red. Numbers may not be exact, as it's from memory but you get the idea.

Spot on, just like the golf then. thank you

If you take a look on Youtube there are some good videos which show the park assist, you can see how the sensors work :)

You get an on screen image of the car and visible indication of objects near the the car and at what distance.

<rant> What I find annoying is that I additionally have rear view camera and the graphical parking sensor indicator covers part of the screen which shows you the view from the rear camera. No option to switch off the graphical view when reversing! </rant>
