Hello all! Fabia VRS SE.

I am brand new to this forum thing...

Hey I'm John, currently residing in Ampthill, Beds.

I recently acquired a Fabia VRS SE MK1 after owning a little Yaris, big change! My family had a run of 4 skoda's when I was young, from a silver Favorit all the way to an Octavia, so the fabia VRS has in a way been a dream car to have since I first saw one many years ago.

I am very blue to the whole 'used car' thing. This is the first car I've actually bought by myself, and as much as it was a fantastic drive down to the IOW and a back for a weeks holiday, I've already come across a few issues. The reverse lights aren't working and it's a wiring issue, and the mechanic who told me that also said I have a radiator leak, though I've had no warning lights or temperature issues and the coolant is still at a good level (car has very good service history and passed MOT last month). Thankfully I can get all this looked at properly and fixed under warranty, but still a baptism of fire I guess, always a learning curve.

Really looking forward to speaking and posting on here, heard its a good bunch of helpful people on here so i look forward to taking tips and advice and learning too
