Few years ago me and a few mates (whole car club) went up to Tamworth which had a Graffiti tunnel (trying to find location as we speak-I thought it was by the snowdome but appears not) and was big enough to hold a few cars at a time, just wondering if anyone (west/east mids or further afield if you fancy a drive) is up for a meet and get some photos also gives me a chance to use my new camera

Yes, they make great photo opportunities. j0hn and I travelled from Leicester down to London to the graffiti tunnel under Waterloo Station some years back.

It was a good turnout and good vibe until Five-O turned up and moved us on, for no apparent reason noting number plates as we left.

Right found the location so end of Sept to start of Oct i'll be looking at

Suggest locating a suitable watering hole (to include a decent Cappuccino) nearby in order to have a natter after photos or in case we get moved on by po-po.

Not a bad idea jonny, will look for one tis evening, if any consolation we're right next to the snowdome / bowling.

In that case, there's likely to be a McKFCBurgerDonaldsSubKingWay in the proximity

Shame you guys are so far up North. Have wanted to do some photography in a tunnel like that for a long time! 

Come along might be a long day but it'll be worth it.

It is tempting, have wanted to do something like this for quite a while, can go snowboarding afterwards if it is near a snodome!

If it's Tamworth then there are plenty of outlets on Ventura Retail Park, which you'll need to pass through to get to Snowdome area from A5.

Said tunnels only up the road from me I'd pop up if I'm not busy on the night its in the Namco bowling place

Yeah Im sure it gets repainted every year quite good actually, popped up last Sunday to see if everything was still as it was.  The only thing that has changed is that there are cameras pointing into the tunnel but that's for vandals. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had get to get permission from Tamworth Council, Snowdome & Napco but fortunately they've all said yes. 

 

Now the date...Can't be this week - Combe,

 

Im busy the week after

 

Saturday after that - I've got a car meet with a local club,

 

Then 11th Oct I'm taking that club up there (hopefully if we can get numbers).  

My advice is pick a date.

Those that can make it will. Those that can't, won't.

Simples.

As said above, pick a date and people will come if they can. You can't please everyone!

Thought the cameras were anpr for carpark did they give you permission to go on grass to get to all the tunnels as only 1 is on the road

The car park itself (Napco/Bowling) have got the ANPR cameras as it's a pay/display car park however when i spoke to the Gentleman he said if you're constantly moving then obviously we won't be needing tickets failing that the council also said the same.

 

Council said that we can't go on the grass (plus there are bollards all the way across) as it'll be Autumny so they don't want us churning the grass up and there is a river that can flood.  And we'll only be using the one back drop.   

That's ok just thought I'd ask at least they said yes I'm surprised tbh the bad reputation car clubs have alot of ppl don't really understand and can't getaway from the McDonald's boy racer image

I know, when I was on the phone to the chap from the bowling arcade, he asked the question; You won't have any half naked women there will you? I laughed and siad no, not that sort of photoshoot, his had it before  

 

Might call the date on October 11th then go from there, will mean you're with my local club but more the merrier.

Failing that, just find a road with some old trees
