Need help

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just had the coil warning light flashing at me. Scanned with a fault reader and

p0726 engine speed sensor CKT range/performance

Can anyone explain in simpleton form for me and what I need to do to fix this issue?

Check that your brake lights are working first, maybe both bulbs are blown, usual culprit.

Sorry for the scepticism but brake light bulbs could be the cause for flashing coil warning light?

Don't think it's in your case as you have a fault logged, although it could be old.

Clear the fault and see if it returns.

As for the glow plug light flashing, yes, if both brake light bulbs fail the glow plug light flashes

How strange then. Well I shall go check brake lights but it's also "struggling" to start.

Worse when it's warm?

Sounds like a faulty camshaft sensor

Well it's only started today after I finished work. So can't really tell based on temp. But how do I check if it's the camshaft sensor?

Live data really....

How do I get this data? May sound a noobish question but I have a basic knowledge at best when it comes to mechanics of a car.

If your getting symptoms of a fault, with a fault code to back it up, the chances are that's the problem.

You need more tools and information if you wanted to 100% diagnose the fault
