yellow engine light has come on

Featured Replies

hi peeps. just when i thought things were going great this happens! my 1.2 htp fabia 2004 has been giving me stirling service since taking ownership. getting 37 - 40 mpg round town which i was impressed with.

now today on a run out, my yellow engine light came on. looking at the owners handbook it says it is a EPC warning light. poss exhaust emissions or electronic power control issue. still none the wiser lol.

anyone had this problem and any ideas on wot it is and how to solve?

many thanks

mike

You need to get it scanned with a diagnostic tool to show what fault code it's bringing up.

If you have a laptop you can download free software to do this but you need to buy the cable.

100mph in a 1.2?

You are brave :D

If you need full VCDS I have it in Exmouth - no charge, but it does mean driving about 50 miles.
