My Fathers 1.6 estate has just flagged up a amber warning light. Its the one of the engine........says take to deaership. I assume this is engine ECU/Emissions........faulty exhurst sensor?

Any quick ideas?

Could be anything, but yes, in my experience it's more likely it's the sensor which has failed than whatever it is that the sensor is monitoring.

Get it to a dealer to read the error code, it's something they usually do for free...

Wow I have not heard that one before.

I have e mailed you Mike on a couple of things to check.

But if you have not got any joy with them it will want the fault codes read.

Could be worth getting a vag com cable as I have said as this will read the fault codes for you.
