Took them yesterday...

Basically, standard wheels have been put back on for winter, but I thought I'd take some pics before I raised her back up, so that you can get an idea of what the vRS looks like slammed on standard rims.

Oh, and the Kamai rose holder rocks my world! I bought it last year and have only just got round to fitting it.

Oh, this was it the weekend before I changed the wheels, for comparison:

damn thats better dropped!

Smart.Love that Pioneer. It has popped up on someone else's pics (Ross?)

Like the "factory" comment.

How much higher are you going to raise it? I'm going to leave mine down - Not sure what advantage raising it up much will have.

Hi Josh

Love the Rose!!!

Think we all should have one.

Looks great though.

I am sure your going to miss the Alloys and low ride height.

But your car does look well.

Sarah

Wow..looks real pretty....

How low is your car and what profile are those tyres?

I need to raise it up enough so I can get my arm under the arch so I can attach my Snow Socks when the weather gets hairy.

Not looking forward to it though!

Thanks!

It's as low as the H&R Coilovers will go, both front and rear. I'm not sure how low that is, but it's low enough for me (although the rear could come down just a touch hehe).

The profile is the standard 205/45/16... Since sticking these wheels back on, I've not had any issues with the sump guard rubbing on the road. I suspect the difference between 195/45/16 (as seen on my Porsche front wheels) and 205/45/16 on my OE wheels must be just enough to avoid scrubbage! :)

wow, looking good!!

I have that Pioneer stereo in my mondeo, but I want to put it in my fabbie! Thing is I seem to remember it being really awkward to fit aftermarket head units in fabias....

Josh

Did you get the wheel allignment checked, I needed adjustment when lowered, so it'll no doubt need adjusted on the way back up. I've ordered 15" winter tyres as the're a damm sight cheaper.

Dont want to offend, but I like the wheels in the first pic better than the porsche types!

Car looks awesome lowered on the them!! I dont think the style of the porsche ones suits the car. otherwise though car looks great, you obviously look after it, immaculately clean and well polished!

@ Black Magic... I've not raised it yet, but when I do, I'll be getting it laser aligned.

@ John... Pretty much everyone says that they don't like the Design 90's when they see photos of my car, but so far everyone has changed their tune when they've seen the car in the flesh (metal). Not sure what it is about the photos, but they seriously don't do the car justice. Cheers for the comments on the clenliness though lol

Loz, the stereo fits fine if you use the standard cubby hole...

It is about 2mm out if you have the cubby draw from the elegance model (like I have) and far too many cables round the back of the head unit.

Also, don't buy the Autoleads facia adapter, get the OE one from the dealers for a fraction of the price and it doesn't rattle!

Tasty indeed. Not sure about the flower shi te though

Snow Socks when the weather gets hairy.

Josh - I'm not sure what hole mine will be, would it just be standard on the sport?

will have a go with it some time!! I think I already have the autoleads fascia, bought it for my mums fabia. If it rattles I'll get the one you suggested! thanks!

Have you put the old wheels on 'cuz you're going down to London at the weekend?

Snowsocks - is that because of the severe winter they have warned is on the way? You realise you'll be the only one at work!

cheers

derek

I bought the Snow Socks last year... They are great!

BTW, I live in the middle of nowhere, so they are v.useful.

Old wheels are on so soon as my front tyres were down to to the wear markers, and I had always planned to take the d90's off for the winter.

Josh, How much are the snow socks, if you don't mind me asking :)

nice floral addition :D but the fabia isnt a beetle......
