Stuffy car. Recirculating air valve stuck?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I seem to be driving with the window open often as the car gets stuffy quite quickly.

I wondered if the re-circulation is stuck in the closed state. Recirculation light is always off, too.

Apart from a subjective test of driving with it on/off, is there an easy way of checking this?

What age is the car and has the Pollen (cabin) filter been replaced? Or at least looked at to see the condition.

2014 plate (March). I've not checked it.

Is it supposed to be replaced every year? If so, shouldn't it have been done at the last service?

Thanks

It is on the Service Schedule / Guidelines as @ 2 Years, but then worth checking if you are steaming up.

Do you have A/C and do you use it?

I do have AC but don't use it very often; only to exercise it once in a while.
