can someone help?
my fabia is playing up.It wont start first time when it is warm and only a few times when it is cold. i usually get it started on the 3rd or 4th time and then it idles at about 600 - 800 rpm. any ideas what could be causing this?

its a 2002 fabia 1.4 mpi

Your idle sounds low, also if its not starting first time, possibly the starter motor is on its way out?

Assuming the air filter is new/clean then.

 

Try re-setting the ECU.

 

Turn off ALL electrics, disconnect the battery earth for 30 minutes, then without touching any pedals or switching any electrics on, start and leave to idle for 30 minutes.

 

Switch off and restart to see any difference.

 Make sure you are aware of your radio code before you do this! Its always a pain if you don't have it then your locked out of your head unit !

my radio isnt working anyway lol
