pioneer deh-p77mp wma playback

Featured Replies

brother burned off a disc for the missus of wma's and that but it doesn't play.

anyone had problems with wma's on the above unit??

does it need certain quality tracks??

by the way this disc plays perfectly in my JVC unit so its not a faulty disc or anything :)

I think it depends on how the disc is written i.e. which program etc I had a p77mp but skipped alot when I played MP3 so in the end I ditched it for a JVC and can say it has never once skipped at all.

My 77MP plays WMA's just fine.

its is really strange, but i do remember a couple years ago when i had my kenwood that if the wma's were converted using windows media .9 they wouldn't play but they would if converted using windows media ver.7

random

I've not tried it on mine, because I don't have any WMA files.

MP3 playback has been flawless on it though :)

we have played mp3's on it before but when making a new compilation yesterday there wasn't enough room for all the songs so they got converted to WMA so they would fit

I've played some WMAs on my 77MP without problems, although I encoded them myself so maybe you have a dodgy wma codec as far as the 77MP is concerned.

Not heard of WMA compatibility issues before though, although haven't looked.
