7 way bypass relay live

Featured Replies

Can anyone give any advice on finding somewhere to take the permanent live for a towbar 7 way bypass relay from at the moment I am using a fuse tap piggyback into the same fuse as the 12v socket but would rather it have its own feed. Not done much of this before so was after some help please....

This is currently being discussed but to power a boot fridge via a switched live. The advice on that thread seems to be that the best option is to take a feed direct from the battery and go in through the bulkhead and back. I would say given this method you should be able to take a feed from the battery, put a relay and in line fuse in a decent gauge wire then see if there is any shielded way of getting the wire to the back underneath the car, well secured obviously. I have done something similar on a previous car and followed the brake lines and fuel line. It was an under car lighting system on a show car so I didn't need a relay though.

Does this sound like something that might be feasible?
