I've been to a couple of dealers, and finally ordered my SIII estate, but neither dealer can tell me if

the rails and sliding tie-down points are available, as they were on the SII.

Has anyone got better info on this?

I don't think that they are available, as they were not fitted on the model, I test drove, in Style spec.

If I remember correctly they were standard on the MK2 Elegance Combi when it was top-of-the-range pre-L&K, but otherwise a cost option. As well as the tie-downs there was a sliding bar and a self-retracting strap.

Sadly it's one of the things consigned to the "defunct" bin for the Superb III Combi, replaced by those velcro luggage retainers and/or boot net program.

 

I notice there's no mention in the latest UK brochure of these luggage retainers. It would be a travesty if they're not standard equipment as they're touted as one of Škoda's "Simply Clever" items.

Does anyone else know if they're standard in the UK specs?
