Ignore! Answered. Skoda Surround + Virtual Subwoofer - General query

Featured Replies

Edit: Answered by Gazbull on Fab 3 forum.

Following on from a topic on the Fabia 3 forum ...

Some of the cars' radios come with "Skoda Surround" and "Virtual Subwoofer".
(The posters so far, have cars with the 2015 Swing radio ).

The question is - why is Skoda Surround and Virtual Subwoofer, disabled on Radio?. It is only enabled when playing from Media (SD/USB/Aux/BT).

I assume Skoda Surround and Virtual Subwoofer are done through digital signal processing ?

Anyone got any ideas?

The reason why it's not available on DAB or FM is because the input signal is not constant therefore the sound processor can't work fully. The input signal depends in location and not a lead or Bluetooth connection within the confines of a car.  ]
