Lowering vrs

Featured Replies

Hi,I am thinking of lowering my vrs. Any recommendations?

if you have xenons it may be hard, this is why mine is still on standards but I would recommend Eibach as a brand

Just lowered mine on eibachs...highly recomended

Just put my VRS back on normal springs because to hard to drive and brake on every silly bump but car looks very good when lowered

Hi,I am thinking of lowering my vrs. Any recommendations?

How low are you looking to go and what's your budget?

Damian @ DPM Performance

Got the H&R-50mm Cup Kit and White line RARB for the VRS from Damian. Lowers the VRS approx 20mm. Drives great without having to much traffic calming issues.

Also have Eibach on my Astravan and they have been excellent.

So am I right thinking that shorter springs can make some problems with self leveling xenons?

no.  both of my octavias have been lowered, both with zenons, no problems.

That's good to know as I want to do mine when it's fixed ahahha

Think of it this way if your car was fully loaded with weight it would be lower than 20mm and this would not affect the self leveling as thats what its designed for,so h&r or eibach which lower between 10mm - 20mm depending on which springs u get will be fine, Dont forget the shocks unless yours are not that old as these will make a huge difference if yours are shot .

Mine was very low on cheap coilovers and has Xenons and it was fine.

It's now on Bilstein B8 dampers and Eibach -20mm springs and it's a revelation in comparison. Having not experienced a standard ride I think it's perfectly acceptable and it rides a lot like the missus' standard Mk5 R32.

I Also got everything from DPM - always great customer service.
