Hello Briskoda, new mk2 vrs owner

Featured Replies

just thought i'd say hello in the right section :-)

I bought a black pre facelift mk2 octavia vRS hatch earlier this summer as i needed a practical, customer friendly car. I was looking for estate cars and nearly bought a Zafira GSI but came across a picture of an octavia hatch with the boot open, from the shape i'd assumed they were a saloon and i need something i can get big ish things in for work so hadn't previously considered them. I test drove a vRS local to me and was sold. They really are a very good car. Nice interior, nice ride, punchy enough and understated looks.

Once i get it cleaned and have time for a drive somewhere picturesque i'll get a thread up with some pictures I can keep up to date as i make the odd tweak here and there.

So far i've just been tackling maintenance type jobs to get it up to a mechanical standard i'm happy with. Full service, new cambelt, CV gaitor, fix rear washer etc etc, nothing particularly interesting. I do need to sort out an in dash sat nav as currently i've got the basic 'stream' unit.

This forum has been very useful so far, so thanks for that.
