New builds and car insurance!

Featured Replies

Recently moved into a new build house a few weeks ago. My insurance is due next month so been trying quotes and because insurance companies don't have my postcode on their system i'm having to type it in manually and getting quotes around the £580 mark (currently paying £360!).

Anyway, i typed in the postcode for the older houses on my street (same street name, just different postcode) and i'm getting quotes around the £320 mark.

Anyone know how long it takes for car insurance companies to update their records as i don't fancy paying almost double because of something stupid like this?

It takes a fair while to filter down. Usually it's updated annually but in the new build we had it took over 18 months to get a phone line installed as BT couldn't work out we existed. One of the many reasons I refuse to ever deal with them again...

Hi,

Please feel free to give us a try for for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Regards,

Dan.
