Decided to seal the new wheels...

Featured Replies

Got as far as doing one! After an hour and a half taking the wheel off, cleaning and sealing it, treating the tyre, and then fitting it back on, I'm knackered.  The other three will have to be done another night!

The one I did looks good though :D

Looks great, buddy! What did you seal them with?

To be fair, I can't really take credit.  The wheels were only refurbished yesterday :D  I just gave the whole rim a hand wash with megs gold class, dried it, then sealed with Jetseal 109, and wiped over the tyres with PoorBoy's black trim dressing.  I didn't even polish them.

Haha. It still takes effort!

What colour did you go for, is it slighty darker than standard silver?

It's black Chrome mate. Gloss black inside and a nice silver on the outside.

Same finish when I had mine done

I'm considering having my MX-5 wheels done in black chrome again

Looks really nice there mate - nice choice.

Suits your car very well

Thanks bud.  Ignore the fake tan discs - I'd just blasted the entire area with the pressure washer. Also, it's sitting really high because the car hadn't settled back down into the springs after being up on the stands...

I know that, you told me about the colour :D
