Fabia 2003 water lose

Featured Replies

Hi There,

The water should not lose at all in the car ? specially in the hot areas such as my country in the summery like now the avg of temperature is 33  and always im turn the AC on?

And my car have anti-freeze G12 with good water.

I make the new water cycle since 10 days ago and the water level is decreasing very very slowly approx. ( 4oz) every 12 days is that normal ? (Without tees when i open the water tank)

Cheers,

Osama

Sounds by your story you have a slow water-leak, probably only when system has pressurised/ got hot for normal running.

A favourite place is the pipe/ connection thats sits immediately below header tank/ reservoir.

You will need to look carefully at all your water-pipe connections as well as the water-pipes themselves.

Corrosion leakage usually is easy to spot over a period of time.

An alternative is to have a water-pressure test on your water system which could..(not guaranteed), locate the leak.

The radiators are known to leak at the bottom corners when they get old, so check that as well.
