Fabia Scout

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if Skoda are going to be doing a new Fabia Scout?

I'd guess they sold fewer (2WD-only) Fabia Scouts than Mk2 vRS models, so if they aren't producing a Mk3 vRS, then you probably won't see a Scout either - just my thoughts...

Don't recall ever seeing a Fabia Scout. In fact, seen precious of any Scout variants. Paramedics use Octavia Scouts in there here parts.

There are very near 1.500 Fabia Scout registered in the UK, petrol & diesels from 2009-now.

The new cars spoken about in Skoda teases was the All New Fabia Combi Outdoor, so hopefully that will arrive in the future, like 2016. Pity it will not get the AWD from a Yeti or S1, but it can because the platform used in the All New Fabia has a tunnel to the rear. It is just a revised platform.

That is a shame.  I really like my Fabia 2 Monte Carlo, but it can't have a tow bar, and was looking for a bit more space.  Octavia is just too big for my needs. :(

Hadn't realised that they had dropped the VRS, given the problems that people have reported with the 1.4 engine, I'm not really shocked.  Perhaps they should have done a diesel version.

Lets not go onto that again,

(they did a Diesel Version as near as needed, a Monte Carlo 1.6 TDI CR manual and if you Remapped it you got 130hp the same as a Mk1 vRS but lighter than a Mk1 vRS and you had the same Platform and Suspension

& tyre width as a Mk2 vRS)

They also discontinued the 1.4 TSI / TFSI 180-185 ps Engine in the VW Polo GTI, Audi A1 185 & Seat Ibiza Cupra,

Now the Polo GTI gets the 1.8 TSI & so does the Seat Ibiza Cupra and for much the same cost as the most expensive new Fabias.

Just as well Seat do the 1.8 TSI 180 ps Engine in Seat Leon FR's for not much more if you buy slightly used than a new Skoda Fabia Estate costs.

Hopefully the VWG 1.4 TSI ACT (COD) 150 ps will be going in to New Fabia Estates sometime soon.

If not a Hot Estate with a 1.8 TSI.

..............

At least a Fabia Monte Carlo could have a towbar fitted, as could the Polo GTI, Audi A1 & Ibiza Twinchargers,

The Skoda Fabia vRS with the same Engine & Platform as the sister cars was not allowed to Tow or have a Towbar because Skoda never submitted weights for it to.  That will be because they added Ballast weights to the rear crash bar of the vRS Hatchback.

I really liked the mk2 Fabia Scout.

Best looking car in the range IMO.

Used to see one every few weeks.

I have the Plastics off one to put on a Fabia vRS Estate, had them for near 2 years, but i do not have a Fabia vRS Estate yet to put them on. Wheels as well sitting ready to go on.
