Window Regulator Help

Featured Replies

I had my front passenger regulator replaced a while ago. I tested it once and was happy it worked. Since then I've not really used it until now where I've found the issue. It goes down and up fine, but sometimes when halfway down I press up and it goes down. This happens on both driver and passengers controls.

i've searched the forums but haven't found an exact match. What could be the issue?

You may need to reset the windows, particularly if the battery has been disconnected.

To do this, you need to cycle each window up and down using the first position of the switch i.e. not the second position which is the auto close or open.

Press the switch to open the window and keeping holding it for a further three seconds or more after the window is fully open. Release the switch and repeat the process with the close switch.

Do this for any other windows that need to be reset.

Great I'll try this on the way home! Always good to have something to keep me bored in traffic.
