Dealer is unsure

Featured Replies

So I had a courtesy call from either the dealer or its representative to inform me my first service due, the car is now 12 months old. I did query this as the sticker placed by the dealer on the side of the cars dash states variable servicing and due next year 2016. I asked them to clarify what is required or not. Two days later I receive a text from the dealer stating my car is due its first service. dealer called and during conversation with the service staff confusion appeared as to whether said car is on variable or fixed servicing.

Am I missing something, why so complicated? Now I am confused with this when prior to the call it was clear.

Worryingly if not for the call I would not have considered the service until next year as indicated by the dash sticker. By doing so I would have been behind schedule and have possibly missed a service period thus potentially invalidating the warranty/pcp terms.

isolated case?
