May sound a nooby question, but will this be ok to use in my car? I know it should be 505.01 or 506.01, but does this oil cover all from 504-507 as I read it.

Yep that's the right stuff!

 

They had the Mobil ESP1 (5L) on offer when I did mine recently so I got that so I had a litre for top-up through the year but it's gone up on price now.

That's quite high usage.

 

I've used about 1.5 to 2 litres in the past couple of years (20,000 miles).

 

The only time it really uses any oil is when it's pushed a bit. So driving fast on the Autobahn, mountain roads and Nurburgring are when it actually uses any oil. The rest it's just a tiny 100-200 ml top-up if that.

mine was fine, but then I had the engine changed and this new/recon one likes oil a lot!!
