Yes, there is a UK based technical team but they won't speak to the public, you have to go via Skoda UK customer services... who always ask you approach your local dealer instead.

 

If you can find a way to get hold of the proper technical team based at Skoda's HQ in the Czech Republic then you will get a far better answer.

Presume you want to do this whilst you are sitting in the car?

 

It can be done by pressing the middle key on the key fob, but don't think that method works when the car is running / key in ignition.

as far as i know the key had to be out to use the release, having a button is 10 times easier
