Bluetooth unit

Featured Replies

Could anyone advise me on whether a bluetooth unit for the columbus rns 510 would work in my skoda fabia 14 plate?

It came with the standard head unit and I bought the rns510 second hand.

Iv looked at this unit on ebay but unsure if is compatible with the car 5k0035730 d is the eBay item no.

I'm also looking at trying to fit a shark fin to get rid of the fabia wires if anyone has any recommendations?

Ive got an RNS510 in mine. I had the RNS310, if you have the rns310 with bluetooth then that should mean you have the seperate bluetooth module. (im not sure if the RNS310+ has bluetooth built in).

I simply took my old unit out, put my new one in and it all went swimmingly. The only problem I have is that my bluetooth module is not connected to the head unit so I can't use voice control via the head unit but can via the steering wheel. you can do it to work through both but I cant find the bluetooth module anywhere.

I also think I have the RNS510 C rather than the D.

As for the shark fin, I was under the impression it was as simple as taking the current one off and swapping it. I've taken my one off before due to a problem. Was gonna get the shark fin myself but never got around to it. What do you mean by 'get rid of the fabia wires'?

Facra wires sorry

Mine originally had a bog standard cd head unit in, not the rns310. So doubt the car has bluetooth in already.

What steering wheel do you have to be able to control bluetooth through it?

I have the older steering wheel. I can't control it using the buttons but I can using voice control. I'm aware there are ways to do it so you can control it with the buttons but to be honest its never bothered me.

i'm not entirely sure about getting rid of the facra wires, I thought they would just connect to the under side of the new one?
