Vrs hesitant under acceleration

Featured Replies

Hi, my 06 plate fabia vrs is hesitant under acceleration sometimes, like a small misfire, it's totally standard and have had the head gasket changed recently, was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue?

New HG is the obvious time for a new cambelt (and tensioners), so was the fuel timing set properly (by computer)?

The cambelt and water pump were all changed while the head gasket was being done and the fuel timing was all set up properly aswel :/

Does it happen at about 1700-1800 rpm? It could be the BLT stutter?

Yeah it does, excuse the idiotism but what is Blt stutter??

Hi - Have you checked the Turbo hoses - front left hand side of the engine bay from the intercooler to the inlet mainifold at the back of the engine, there is a joint on the left hand side next to the radiator - is known to wear loose and pop off. Listen for whoosing/Whistling when stationary - revving from tickover to 3000rpm. Will also give you lots of black smoke on acceleration as the air/fuel mixture goes to rats*#t. Hope this helps.
