New Octavia compared with old version

Hi all first post here.

Had considered buying the new vRS when it arrives but need the estate and Skoda UK can't give a date for arrival. They can't give a date for the saloon yet other that some time in December and say the estate could be six months behind. So thought about buying the older version which is still available new or maybe second hand.

So was wondering if the people who drove them could give a view both on how much better, or not, the new Octavia is, and how they expect the new vRS to compare with the old. If anyone could point me in the right direction for comparisons would be grateful for that too.
