I use the key mostly to unlock the car as we only have one fob and my misses uses that. Recently the key spins in the lock probably 10 or so times before it actually registers it and unlocks. 

 

Any suggestions?

I have been managing by sharing the fob with the misses, but improving the key performance would be good and I appreciate any suggestions!

I believe you need to obtain a repair kit (ebay ?) then you need to slacken the torx screw from the side of the opened door that tightens the clamp in the lock mechanism that retains the lock barrel so that, with the handle pulled out, you can insert the key and pull the lock out and fix/replace.
