This might sound really crazy, but my head is in danger of being turned by a Mercedes C350e!

Leasing on a 6+23 seems to be £324 inc VAT

I reckon I might save £50/month in fuel, so £250 plays £274 - it's a close thing!

Lovely motor :-) I looked at them but.... I don't know it just didn't excite me... It is a great car though ...

I know someone that ordered a Mercedes Hybrid in April... IF he is lucky he will see it December.... But the date has changed 3-4 times already :(

I also looked at the new class and it's a cracking car! The only down side for me was the size of it. It's bigger than the previous class but no where near the size of the Skoda. Also the boot space isn't great. I'd rather wait and go for a new 2016 E class. The superb has ticked all the boxes for me.

Just visited a Mercedes forum where people fed up of waiting for C350e have contemplated a Superb instead!

I swore I would never have another car from them no matter how good it was as I was treated as second class citizen when I went for servicing. There were queues out the door but the sales guys (they told me those in suits were sales and servicing  had overalls) stood around talking. No buying customers but said they could/would not help. Also had a friend who ordered his car and during the lead time the dealer rang him and said it had now gone up in price and could he pay the difference or cancel. He said that was the cost of owning one of their cars......

I had a similar experience with Mercedes.

Bought a 6 month old C class after being told by the salesman that it was an ex management car.

When the V5 arrived it was in fact an ex hire car.

Hate being lied to in that way.

Vowed never to darken the door of a Mercedes dealer again.

Lieing in the motor industry- who'd have thought it?! ;-)

Someone here recently posted that car salesmen lie. It's so true... Even Skoda ones!

BTW, I don't seek to belittle your point. I suspect that Merc salesmen are the best/worst - depending on how you look at it!

I've just ordered a new Superb estate after 15 years of E class Ownership, mainly because of the complete incompetemce of their servicing departement and the patronising way everyone deals with you.

My present S212 E350 estate still has a problem with it's climate control at five years old which they have tried to fix several times and the when a knocking from the front suspension started at 2 years I was told it was something loose in the boot!, This was finally fixed at 4 years (when out of warranty) when new front struts were fitted (Mercedes did pay half)

It was a breath of fresh air to walk into the Skoda showroom and be treated normally and not patronised.

........and the car drove better than a Merc!

I know someone that ordered a Mercedes Hybrid in April... IF he is lucky he will see it December.... But the date has changed 3-4 times already :(

Hey up Stu, Ordered at the end of March - Car was due at the start of this month... now got a build date of Jan 2016. Not impressed to say the least.

So if I order one now, it might be ready by the time my 2 year Superb lease comes to the end....
