Amundson Sat Nav has been playing up for months and simply doesn't identify where we are.  I've googled a bit as I thought it may just need a complete reset but most comments seem to suggest that there is a common issue with the aerial base unit.

 

Has anyone worked out how to do a hard reset and did it work?

 

Or, has anyone has this piece replaced (not under warranty anymore) and how much did it cost?

Yeah had to do my base cost iirc was about £80, quite easy to do just go careful with headlining

Thinking it would be cheaper just to buy a stand alone sat nave but then that wouldn't link in with the maxi dot.

Yeah just the part, took about 45min to swap over

If it's just the antenna get an after market puck one from eBay for £4 , that's what I did on the RS6 when the roof antenna went open circuit and the Vrs when I retrofitted a nexus unit , seconds to install and much cheapness !!

Thanks for that, I've now tried swappping the one from my Nissan Note onto it and no joy so I am guessing it must be the base unit itself.
