Winter protection - Boo!

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Thought to start a thread to help others etc on winter protection as the colder months approach.

What's everyone going to be using?

I myself am going for - 2 coats of Fusso 12 hours apart then a top coat of Collinite 476s.

Post your options etc below!

Karl.

haha - not decided as yet Karl - still doing some research on this one...  ;)

My Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid has become a little bit of a pain to use. So I'm in a bit of a quandry as to what to buy in. I may plumb for SNH v2 I think and use my old v1 for wheels and door shuts. Or I may try something different like one of the Bilt Hamber wax's.

It's getting to that time of year again though!!

TAC Systems Ceramic Coat x 2 followed by BH Double Speed x 2.

Double Double Double protection - is that right? :D  ;)

You need to do a Briskoda review on the TAC Ceramic stuff sometime Ben - that would be useful.

Something I plan to look at next year for our new cars at home.

At the moment the Siramik SC15 looks very interesting for a new car detail - IMO.

Winter protection?  Put the car in the garage occasionally.

I'm interested to see what SiRamik Sc15 has to offer at some point myself!

Hopefully the Fabia will be pretty much bomb proof this winter!

Nice one Ben - thanks mate, i'll look forward to your review.

The SC15 and SC Mist reviews are very good.

I'm following a couple of people who have it on their cars now and for winter coming.

Maintenance washes look an absolute breeze - the Siramik stuff performs well!

Back to wax options though - anyone used Bouncer's Fortify?

Sounds like an interesting product.... based on the blurb below...

"Introducing Bouncer's FORTIFY Ultra Durable Wax Sealant

  • Suitable for all coloured cars
  • Unique Recipe

  • Half Wax, Half Sealant makes the ultimate protection

Utilising a combination of highly advanced German and Japanese cross linked polymers as well as only the best T1 Carnauba, it is essentially a double cross linked double hybrid "
