Diesel gate

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how i translate the engine type ea189 that seems to be in all the papers to the engine codes in the cars.

I have a 2011 1.6 diesel Fabia 55kw and engine code is CAyA

You could have probably googled that more quickly that it took to ask the question ;)

That suggests that the CAYA is a EA189 variant, but I'd wait to see what happens before worrying about your car or getting excited about compensation until we know what's happening rather than news rumours.

I’m going to lock this now your question has been answered, purely so this thread does not continue alongside the main thread regarding VW’s actions.
