**URGENT**

Hi, I'm trying to fit lowering springs to my 2011 fabia, iv managed to get the strut out with some struggling, but when I try to put it back on with the new spring compressed, I just don't seem to have space to put it back in, is there a trick to it or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Struggling to get the strut back into the hole of the hub ? I used maintenance spray and a spreading socket. Shock slid right in then was a nightmare to get them out but going back together was easy.

Have you released the entire hub unit?

You need to have removed

1. The driveshaft nut

2. The trackrod end

3. The 3 nuts from the lower hub swivel

4. The antiroll bar drop link

When it comes to putting it back together you'll need new nuts for the lower swivel, trackrod end and driveshaft and a new nut and bolt for the lower strut to hub. Make sure you follow the torque settings and angular tightening sequences. And do not put weight back on the wheel without having the driveshaft nut partially tightened, it'll knacker the wheel bearing.
