Hi everyone new to this site so be gentle.

I naught a 1.6 tdi a year ago now done 39 k runs ok BUT the oil light is on . I have had it plugged in to a vag gadget seems there are no faults.

Ok start car let it tick over no problem no oil light runs just fine changed oil switch also had a separate feed from battery to a bulb then to switch thus when the engine is off not running no light appears start ending the temp light comes on thus night oil pressure makes the contact in the oil light switch making the temp light come on. So from this I can assume I have good oil pressure.

However. With eligible on tick over no red oil can appears on the dash run the car down the road bleep bleep bleep the flashing red oil can will not go off. Changed oil checked level carefully.

This car runs just fine so it must be an electrical fault.

ANY IDEAS PEOPLE.
