after locking my keys in my jeep whilst it was running yesterday I have decided that I need more than one key for both my jeep and my Skoda VRs where is the best place to get this done without paying an arm and a leg ?

If you just want to have a spare key for unlocking the car, you can ask a local locksmith to do it for you. This should be pretty cheap. If you want to have a spare key which would allow you to start the engine though, it will need a coded transponder and this is where things are getting nasty.
