Alternative DRL's?

Featured Replies

I'm not a big fan of aftermarket LED DRL's, they always look a bit Halfords.

The DRL's on your Superb are already pretty good, being housed inside the main headlight.

It has to be said though if buying a new Superb I'd always pay more for the bi-xenon headlights, if not for the integrated LED DRL's and indicators alone!

mine are in the foglamps i think?

look a bit dowdy

I thought all the FL cars had them in the headlights now?

If they are in the foglights then a pair of CREE LED’s will make a huge improvement.

Then when the LED’s started to fail:

They are in the headlight, I took this picture from an earlier thread (sorry if it brings back bad memories!).

The DRL's utilise the main beam bulb, inboard of the dipped headlight projectors.

The bulb performs three roles...

Dim = side lights (clarification required here, there might be a W5W bulb hidden in there somewhere)

Bright = DRL's

Brightest = Main beam

Can't see any W5W bulb in there, the manual is as clear as mud too...
