take off!

Featured Replies

so just made a tit out myself at the lights !  floored it to pull away and the traction control kicked in killed the power looked like i nearly stalled it!!

whats revs do you guys sit at for a nice smooth fast getaway from standing start?

I used to turn the traction control off as a force of habit.  I had a scary incident once when trying to cross a NSL road in the wet.  I must have used more throttle than the traction control liked

and it stranded me in the middle of the road with cars bearing down on me.  Not good.  From then on I always drove with it off and let my right foot control what was happening.

Yeah turn it off. It's **** anyway. I find 3 to be the magic number generally - as in 3000rpm although obviously cars and tunes vary. Not in the habit of mental standing starts, its a question of clutch preservation.

yeah this was just a one off really car needed a good blast , but u never know when the boy race is gunna come out of u!!

I generally leave it on but yeah on many occasion i have had the same issue where it nearly stalls the car.

If i'm doing a traffic light gran prix start i knock it off and smoke the tyres.. Looks cooler lol.
