Just wondering if someone could tell me which length of handbrake cable I should buy for a MK1 vRS please?  My handbrake is cr*p and it does not help that one has stretched a lot.

 

Euro Car Parts comes up with two lengths - 1698 & 1272mm!

 

Also can someone comfirm that rear pads are the same between vented and solid discs.  Looking at the Audi TT 3.2 which has the same calipers/discs it seems to show the same pads as Octavia non-vented rear disks.

I can measure one tomorrow but 1.7m sounds more realistic to me.
